How Toll gates are charged

In the UAE, certain roads include toll gates — Salik in Dubai and Darb in Abu Dhabi. These toll charges are not included in your Udrive rental and will be charged separately if used during your trip.

About Salik

Salik is Dubai’s electronic toll gate system. There are currently 10 Salik gates across Dubai. Since January 2025, toll rates vary depending on the time of day.

• ⃃ 6 during peak hours: 6:00–10:00 AM and 4:00–8:00 PM on weekdays
• ⃃ 4 during off-peak hours: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM and 8:00 PM–1:00 AM
• ⃃ 0 from 1:00–6:00 AM

• On Sundays, the toll is ⃃ 4 during peak and off-peak hours and ⃃ 0 from 1:00–6:00 AM, except on public holidays and during events.
• A 5% VAT applies additionally to Salik toll charges.

About Darb

Darb is Abu Dhabi’s electronic toll gate system. There are currently 6 Darb toll gates across Abu Dhabi.

A ⃃ 4 + 5% VAT toll applies to each crossing during the applicable toll periods:

• 7:00–9:00 AM
• 3:00–7:00 PM
• Monday to Saturday

• There are no toll charges on Sundays or official public holidays.
